Our mission is to bring back the joy of traditional fish and chips by serving fresh, sustainably sourced fish, hand-cut chips, and a variety of infused flavors & mouthwatering accompaniments. 

We aim to provide a delightful escape from the ordinary, allowing our customers to savor every crispy bite and indulge in a truly memorable meal.

1985

Moving to the states.

The Wee Chippy™ founder Joe Gorrie moved to the US from his hometown of Glasgow, Scotland, bringing the perfect fish and chips recipe with him.

2001

Switching coasts.

Joe relocated to the seaside haven of Venice, California and established himself as an active member of the local restaurant community.

A hankering for home.

After a night out and a failed search for fries Joe struck on the idea to bring a classic chippy to the beach with the spin of infused flavors.

The Wee Chippy™ Opens

Years of ideas and hundreds of flavor infusions later Joe launched The Wee Chippy™ with classic chips served in an easy to walk with box.
